About the AFICÂ
The FIC collaborates with a broad spectrum of public and private sector stakeholders to advance its contribution to the fight against financial crime. More information on the AFIC’s domestic and international partnerships is available under the about page.
Dedicated pages per sector
Businesses and entities identified as accountable institutions in terms of Schedule 1 of the AFIC Act will find guidance and other resources aimed specifically at their sectors on the website. These resources include sector risk assessments and guidance aimed at helping accountable institutions fulfil their FIC Act obligations. The compliance and supervision page houses all the AFIC’s guidance products such as public compliance communications, guidance notices and Directives.Â
Easy access to information and publications
The FIC keeps the public and stakeholders informed on the latest developments relating to Africa’s landscape for anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing via the newsroom page. Visitors can access media releases, news and publications such as the AFIC’s annual reports, case studies, posters, brochures and infographics. The multimedia centre hosts videos, audio and other content designed to enrich understanding of the fight against money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing in Africa and how they can assist.
